A proper sheet for your table

A match record and a separate round worksheet, with generous writing space and a scoring reference for Samba Canasta.

Free download. No signup. Print page 1 for the match and one copy of page 2 for each round.

What is inside the downloadable PDF?

Page 1 records each team's round score and running total. Page 2 is a detailed worksheet for calculating one round before transferring its result to page 1. Print the first page once per match and the second as often as needed. The files use dark green headings, restrained shading and open writing cells, so the score remains the focus on a physical table.

The match record has ten round rows and the 10,000-point target. Use additional copies if the match runs longer. The worksheet gives Sambas their own bonus row and separates exposed red threes from the penalty for players still holding them. It follows our Dutch Samba defaults, including the two-completion requirement for positive red-three scoring.

Choose the right paper size

Choose US Letter for 8.5 by 11 inch paper or A4 for 210 by 297 mm paper. Both versions contain the same rules and fields. Select the file that matches your printer's paper, preview both pages, then print at actual size. If your printer reports a margin warning, use its fit-to-printable-area option rather than cutting off the footer or last row.

You do not need to print the website or remove navigation from a browser preview. Download the PDF directly and open it in your normal PDF viewer. The separate Preview PDF link lets you inspect the document before saving it. The sheet is designed for handwriting and does not calculate scores or import your online game.

Keep additions, penalties and totals separate

Write completion counts and their bonuses before collecting the table cards. Count each team's exposed card values, then handle threes and remaining cards in their own rows. Use a minus sign for a negative round. Transfer that signed result to the match record and add it to the previous running total; copying a penalty as a positive number can reverse the outcome.

These sheets follow the rules documented on Free Canasta. If your family uses different bonuses or exit requirements, agree on those differences before play and note them on the paper. Use the complete scoring guide for worked arithmetic and the rules guide for questions about whether a combination or exit was legal.
